STEM Challenge

25th Mar 2026

Four of our pupils travelled to Ballymacash Primary School to take part in an interschool STEM challenge. Each team was given the same materials and tasked with building the tallest possible tower capable of supporting a creme egg for at least one minute. They were given one hour to plan and construct their design.

Our team worked brilliantly throughout and created an impressive tower measuring 150 cm tall. Although they were narrowly beaten by the team from Largymore, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a fantastic morning.

We would like to extend our thanks to Mr Gray for hosting the event and to Mr Gibson for organising the challenge.
