Nursery Police Visit

5th Feb 2026

Today we had a special visit from our community police officers, Garth and Rohan. They told us about the important jobs they do to keep everyone safe and showed us some of the equipment they use.

The children were very excited to sit in a real police car and listen to the three different sirens!

How todays visit has supported our learning :

  • Understanding the World – discovering community roles and learning how people help us.
  • Language Development – asking questions, listening carefully and using new vocabulary.
  • Personal, Social & Emotional Skills – building confidence when talking to visitors and learning about safety.
  • Exploration & Thinking Skills – finding out how equipment works and comparing sounds.
  • Creative Development – using the experience to inspire imaginative play, drawings and role-play activities.

A fantastic start to our People Who Help Us topic!
