Each Thursday morning, our Nursery children enjoy a very special visit from our Primary 7 pupils, who come down to read and share stories with them during our morning playtime — and what a joy it has been to watch. We thought you might like a little look!
- These visits help our Nursery children develop a love of books in a relaxed and fun way, build confidence, and feel connected to the wider school. It’s lovely for them to see the older children and begin to imagine themselves growing, learning, and becoming “big school” pupils one day.
- For our Primary 7 children, this is a fantastic opportunity to read aloud in a calm, no?pressure environment, helping to boost their confidence, communication skills, and sense of responsibility — all while forming special bonds with the younger children.
These sessions are creating warm, positive relationships across the school, and the smiles and excitement say it all!
