Exploring Autumn at Nursery
We've had a wonderful week diving into the magic of Autumn! The children have been busy noticing the seasonal changes all around them and engaging in lots of hands-on learning:
* Leaf Collecting Adventures – Our little explorers have been using wheelbarrows and brushes to gather and collect fallen leaves from the playground, noticing their different shapes, sizes, and colours.
* Leaf Fun – We have been watching how leaves float and dance in the air as they fall to the ground around them , sparking lots of curiosity and conversation!
* Singing Autumn Songs – We’ve been singing songs all about autumn leaves, helping us build language and rhythm while celebrating the season.
* Scissor Skills in the Tuff Tray – The children practiced their fine motor skills by cutting up autumn leaves, developing hand strength and coordination.
* Leaf Printing – We used leaves to make beautiful prints, exploring textures and patterns through art.
* Conker Collecting with Tweezers – Using tweezers to pick up conkers helped us strengthen our fingers and improve our concentration.
It’s been a joyful week full of seasonal discovery, creativity, and skill-building.
Well done everyone!
