“The Best Day Ever!” — First Shared Education Trip at Nursery
Today we enjoyed our very first Shared Education trip to visit our new friends at All Saints’ Nursery Unit, and what a fantastic day it was!
Our adventure began on the Big Bus, where we spotted fields, houses, and even some of our own homes along the way. We were very excited to see snow on the mountains too!
When we arrived, the children from All Saints’ were waiting at the gate to welcome us. Everyone paired up with a new friend and walked into the Nursery together. Inside, we had snack and spent a wonderful morning playing and exploring. We noticed that some of their toys were the same as ours — and some were different, which made exploring even more exciting!
Together, we created two giant rainbow pictures using all of our handprints. We were delighted to bring one home to display proudly in our own Nursery.
Outside was just as much fun! Their playground has a sand pit and mud kitchen like ours, and we had so much to explore. One of the highlights was getting to use a real hammer and nails at their woodwork bench — such an exciting new experience!
We enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch together, and afterwards we all relaxed and watched the story Tiddler. Then it was time to say “Goodbye”. The journey home had a few sleepy heads, but everyone agreed it truly had been “the Best Day Ever!”
A wonderful start to our Shared Education journey and to building new friendships.
